West Georgia 's Combo league is open to men and women 18 years and older, with skill levels ranging from beginner to advanced. West Georgia league winners will be considered “league champions” of West Georgia and can then advance on to compete in state, and sectional championships.
In West Georgia , the Combo League has two seasons for adults, Winter/Spring and Summer/Fall. Play days are Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30 and Wednesday mornings at 9:30 for Weekday womens.
- Local team play is available in Adult (same gender) combined levels 5.0, 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5.
- Team matches consist of three doubles matches with a 10 point tie-break for the 3rd set.
- Players without a computer rating may self-rate themselves.
- Winning local teams advance to a State Championship, with a chance of advancing to the Sectional Championship.
- Player Requirements: Teams must have a minimum of 6 eligible players registered by the deadline. It is suggested that there are no more than 10 players on a roster as only 6 are needed to play each match. Teams must play at the combined level (the combined NTRP rating of a doubles team). Teams must have at least 3 players rated lower than the maximum rating per player level.
Players must use their year end rating found on Tennislink (http://national.usta.com). Players can appeal their rating by completing the appeal form found on http://ustageorgia.com An individual player's rating must not exceed the highest rating allowed per level as follows:
5.0 level – rating can not exceed 2.5 |
7.5 level – rating can not exceed 4.0 |
5.5 level – rating can not exceed 3.0 |
8.5 level – rating can not exceed 5.0 |
6.5 level – rating can not exceed 3.5 |
9.5 level – rating can not exceed 5.5 |
- Teams can consist of players from different NTRP levels. (Example: A 3.0 player and a 3.5 player can compete together on a 6.5 team)
