WELCOME PAULDING TENNIS CLUB!
Starting in April 2010, the West Georgia Tennis Association (WGTA) is pleased to welcome the Paulding Tennis Club to the West Georgia tennis family!
The Paulding Tennis Club (PTC) is a Division within WGTA that allows tennis players in Paulding County to play regular season USTA League home and away matches in Paulding County.
The winners of the Paulding Tennis Club USTA League divisions will play the division winners from the other WGTA Divisions (Carroll, Douglas, and Haralson counties) for the WGTA League Championship.
These league championship matches will be contested at a location in accordance with WGTA rules that determine home team playoff locations.
WGTA USTA League Champions win a berth in the USTA Georgia State Championships where winners advance to play for Sectional and possibly National USTA League Championships.
In 2010, All PTC USTA leagues will be played on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6:30 and 7:30, depending on what level you play.
One season of each of the following leagues will be offered in 2010: USTA Mixed Doubles, USTA Adult Leagues, and USTA Southern Combo League.
Non-Paulding residence can play on PTC teams but their home facility must be located in Paulding County.
USTA Leagues offer league play at beginner to advanced levels for men and womens 18 years (or turning 18 in 2010) or older. PTC USTA League play will be offered at USTA NTRP levels 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0 for USTA Adult Leagues, Combo Level 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0 for USTA Mixed Doubles League and Combo levels 5.0, 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 9.5, 9.5 for USTA Southern Mens and Womens Combo Doubles. WGTA would like to thank the Paulding Tennis Club Adult League committee for spearheading the effort to bring USTA League tennis to Paulding County and giving all players in Paulding County a league of their own!
